Community Staffing Australia - National Police Check

National Police Check + Working Rights (VEVO)

Community Staffing Australia has been working with National Crime Check for over 5 years, who is an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) Accredited Agency.

All candidates are required to provide a National Police Check which performs a check specifically with vulnerable groups. Furthermore, applicants can also receive evidence to confirm their working rights in Australia which connects directly with The Visa Entitlement Verification Online system (VEVO).

Working With Children Check - for Employment

All employees are required to have a valid and current Working With Children Check - for Employment (not Volunteer). 

The Working with Children Check is a screening process for assessing or re-assessing people who work with or care for children in Victoria. 
Check completed look at the criminal history and relevant professional conduct findings of applicants to ensure we’re assisting to protect children from sexual or physical harm. 
Upgrade from Volunteer to Employment is a mandatory requirement.

Fire Safety Induction Program - DHHS

This program has been authorised by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) with instruction and information on emergency procedures, fire safety, portable fire attack equipment and fire prevention.

All staff working in a residential setting (funded or directly owned by DHHS) will require to undertake this training. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate confirming your completion.
Initial costs are reimbursed to candidates who are successfully employed with us.

Victorian Driver License (Full)

All employees are required to provide a copy of their Victorian Driver License. While legally Interstate and International license holders are legally allowed to drive on these licenses, we require a Victorian Driver License to confirm and verify your current Victorian residential address and verify your photo Identification.

In some instances, our employees will have access to fleet vehicles which also requires Victorian Driver license holders regarding Insurance Policies.

A Car Registration Verification and Driver History Report may also be required in some instances.

Quality, Safety and You

NDIS Worker Orientation Module

This module is an interactive online course that takes approximately 90 minutes to complete the four modules. Once completed, workers will receive a Certificate of Completion.
During the module, workers are encouraged to consider and respond to different scenarios in the context of supporting a person with disability. On completion of the module, workers will have an understanding of the role of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and their roles and responsibilities under the Code of Conduct including: human rights, respect and risk.
